Drag...drag....hurry!

So I'm trying to clear everything up today so that my day away from the office tomorrow is painless for everyone else, and BAM! A potential new client walks in with his renewal policy in his hand (which renewed Aug.31) and wants us to quote on his business. Without getting into all the details (because I just don't have the time to do it) I have today to get him a quote or must wait until next year. I hate putting a gun to my companies' heads and saying "Gimme a quote today! Hurry up with that!", because frankly, if I was a company rep, I wouldn't respond with the a very good quote if put in that position.

Oh well, back to it...and hopefully the client gives us a crack at it next year, because the chance of us gettin' it done today are Slim and None, and I can see Slim flippin' me the bird as he walks east down Dundas.

3 Day Week....sort of.

So we're planning a trip to The Toronto Zoo on Thursday, and Friday I'm in a golf tourney. That can mean only one thing...rain is forcasted for both of those days. Monday to Wednesday, sunny and warm. Saturday and Sunday, sunny with clouds. Shite timing.

Not that interesting I realize, but I'm trying to follow up with my whole, "make an effort to write every day" thing. It won't be everyday, but I'm going to try as often as possible, even if it's just boring stuff (as you are reading now).

So, tomorrow is Tuesday, which is this week's 'Hump Day'. Nice.

All for now.

Pretty much everywhere, it's gonna be hot.

Welcome to my newish blog.

I used to be on here (Blogger.com) years ago. So long ago that I forgot my initial sign-in and password, and I'm sure that my original blog is still floating around in here somewhere. I even contacted the admins a year or so ago to see if they could help me find it, but with no luck. So, everything old is new again. With Vox shutting down on Sept.30th, I received an email telling me to 'move it or lose it', referring to my blog I started there at the coaxing of Travis Allison (who no longer blogs there...thanks, buddy!).

I've decided that maybe I'll make an attempt at picking up the blog again and try to stay somewhat regular at posting (and linking said posts to facebook/twitter). More for me really, but also for anyone who may want to see something funny, read about what I'm on about these days, etc.

Later.

Ron.
